The SEES Group is pleased to welcome Dr. Jamie Houser to our Plessen Ophthalmology – St. Thomas clinic location in the US Virgin Islands.
Dr. Houser is a therapeutic optometrist and certified glaucoma specialist. She graduated magna cum laude with her BS in Biomedical science from Texas A&M University and summa cum laude from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. While pursuing her doctor of optometry degree Dr. Houser received extensive training in the areas of corneal diseases and treatment, retinal diseases such as diabetes and glaucoma, and vision therapy from some of the top doctors in the Houston area. She also enjoys complex contact lens fits and working with children.
Dr. Houser has received many awards, including Excellence in Family Practice, Excellence in Contact Lens, and the Dr. Zipper Award for Leadership and Character. She is a member of several state and local optometric organizations including the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Society.
