Huntsville, AL – The SEES Group proudly announces the addition of Dr. Barrett Paulk to the VisionAmerica medical staff. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Paulk brings a wealth of expertise and a commitment to community service.
Dr. Paulk graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Following an internship at Brookwood Baptist Health, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Callahan Eye Hospital.
As a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society, Dr. Paulk authored and co-authored publications for medical and surgical journals. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Known for his commitment to community service, Dr. Paulk has contributed to various initiatives, including the Christian Medical Ministry of Alabama and mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Honduras. His surgical interests encompass cataract and laser eye surgery, glaucoma management, eyelid surgery, and Botox injections.
Dr. Paulk is excited to provide comprehensive surgical, medical, and laser treatments for patients at McCoy VisionAmerica and VisionAmerica in Huntsville. He resides in Huntsville with his wife and two sons, and enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, cycling, and hiking, along with cheering for Auburn University at sporting events.
