TENNESSEE
SouthEast Eye Specialists Knoxville
- High volume anterior segment surgeon preference for cornea or glaucoma subspecialty training.
Practice currently has 3 ophthalmologists (with subspecialty training in glaucoma and oculoplastics) and 2 optometrists. Located in Dowell Springs medical complex across the street from Tennova Hospital. Southeast Eye Surgery Center, which is a 2-OR ASC with a procedure room that is exclusive for SouthEast Eye Specialists surgeons, is located across the hallway from the practice. Each OR is equipped with a femto-second laser for assisting in cataract surgery.
Due to the current surgical case volume, SEES Group is searching for a surgeon with subspecialty training in cornea or glaucoma who has interest in performing 1000+ cataracts beginning as soon as Year 1. Limited travel will be required to provide care at designated satellite offices.
SouthEast Eye Specialists Chattanooga
- ASOPRS-trained ophthalmologist to join existing oculoplastic surgeon.
- Cornea-trained ophthalmologist to join existing corneal specialists
- Vitreo-retinal surgeo to join The Retina Center
- Pediatric-trained ophthalmologist to join Pediatric Eye Specialists
SouthEast Eye Specialists Chattanooga is the platform practice of SEES Group. SouthEast Eye Specialists Chattanooga currently has 10 ophthalmologists and 7 optometrists on staff. Subspecialties include retina (2), cornea (2), glaucoma, pediatrics, and oculoplastics. The practice has 21,000 square feet of clinical space at its main campus along with satellite offices in the greater Chattanooga region. In addition to the clinical space, Eye Surgery Center of Chattanooga is a 4-OR ASC located on the first floor of SouthEast Eye Specialists Medical Office Building. Each OR is equipped with femto-second laser for assisting in cataract surgery. The Center for Facial Rejuvenation is a medical spa located on the 2nd floor of the MOB.
SouthEast Eye Specialists Chattanooga is seeking an ASOPRS trained ophthalmologist to join its current oculoplastic surgeon who is fully optimized. Practice will be limited to functional and cosmetic oculoplastic care with no need for surgeon to perform comprehensive eye care. Adjacent to SouthEast Eye Specialists Chattanooga is its medical spa, the Center for Facial Rejuvenation. This physician will have the opportunity to provide services in the CFR if interested.
SouthEast Eye Specialists Chattanooga is seeking an ophthalmologist with cornea subspecialty training to assist current staff surgeons with cornea and cataract care. This physician will provide medical and surgical corneal care as well as high volume cataract surgery.
SouthEast Eye Specialists Chattanooga is seeking a retina specialist to join The Retina Center and its 2 retina specialists. This physician will rotate retina call for the practice but not for any hospital system.
Pediatric Eye Specialists is staffed with one ophthalmologist and one optometrist. As the only pediatric ophthalmologist in the region there is a need for additional clinical and surgical pediatric care.

ALABAMA
VisionAmerica Huntsville
- High volume anterior segment surgeon preference for cornea or glaucoma subspecialty training.
- ASOPRS trained ophthalmologist
VisionAmerica Huntsville is a rapidly growing SEES Group practice that currently has 4 ophthalmologists and 3 optometrists. There is a great need for additional support for our current anterior segment surgeons as one is slowing down and another has retired. This ophthalmologist can anticipate as much as 1000+ cataract surgery as soon as Year 1.
VisionAmerica Huntsville is seeking an appropriately trained surgeon to launch oculoplastic services in Huntsville. The physician would not be required to provide any comprehensive eye care services. There is no ASOPRS trained physician in this fast growing market.
VisionAmerica Birmingham
- High volume anterior segment surgeon preference for cornea or glaucoma subspecialty training.
- ASOPRS trained ophthalmologist
VisionAmerica Birmingham currently has 6 ophthalmologists and 3 optometrists on staff. Ophthalmology subspecialties include retina (2), cornea (2), glaucoma, neuro and oculoplastics (2). The practice has a nearby 3-room ASC, Eye Surgery Center of Homewood.
This position would have an opportunity for 1000+ cataract surgeries in year one and would require traveling to a satellite location 1-2 times per week.
VisionAmerica Gadsden/Oxford
- High volume anterior segment surgeon
VisionAmerica Gadsden/Oxford is a busy practice with one ophthalmologist and one optometrist. The ophthalmologist can anticipate a very busy surgical practice due to the current surgeon’s desire to slow down. SEES Group is seeking an ophthalmologist who has the capability of performing 1000+ annually in addition to all other medical and surgical services that can be offered.
USVI
Plessen Ophthalmology
- Anterior Segment surgeon for St. Croix practice. Glaucoma training or experience would be preferrable.
- Vitreo-retina specialist for St. Croix and St. Thomas practices.
- Medical optometrist
Plessen Ophthalmology has clinic locations on the beautiful islands of St. Thomas and St. Croix. This is an underserved area, and its physicians are fully optimized. Anterior segment surgeon will have a busy surgical and clinical practice.
