Franklin, TN – [September 3, 2024] – The SEES Group is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Alex Rider, M.D., a distinguished cornea and refractive surgeon, to the SouthEast Eye Specialists team. Dr. Rider brings a wealth of expertise in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery to the middle Tennessee area.
Dr. Rider specializes in cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, external eye disease, and the latest advancements in lens technology to correct astigmatism and presbyopia. Dr. Rider will be serving patients at SouthEast Eye Specialists locations in Franklin, Clarksville, and Nashville.
Dr. Rider completed his subspecialty training in cornea and refractive surgery at the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, SC, after finishing his residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He earned his M.D. from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. He graduated with honors from Union University in Jackson, TN, with a B.S. in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Rider is an active member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, staying at the forefront of the latest developments in ophthalmic care. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Rider enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hunting, hiking, fishing, or playing golf. He also has a passion for cooking and enjoys preparing meals with his wife, Rebecca.
