The SEES Group is pleased to welcome fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist, Siddarth Rathi, M.D., to our Plessen Ophthalmology locations in St. Thomas and St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.
Dr. Rathi completed the seven-year accelerated medical program at Boston University. After graduating magna cum laude in just three years with his undergraduate degree, Dr. Rathi completed his medical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, his residency at New York University, and his glaucoma subspecialty training at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Florida.
Upon completion of his training, Dr. Rathi joined the faculty at New York University where he treated comprehensive ophthalmology and glaucoma patients. While at NYU, Dr. Rathi also trained resident physicians in cataract and glaucoma surgical techniques along with the medical treatments of glaucoma. He has authored numerous academic papers and has lectured worldwide at ophthalmology conferences. Dr. Rathi previously served as the Director of Teleophthalmology at NYU and has an active interest in telemedicine as an avenue to reduce barriers to eye care.
