The SEES Group is pleased to welcome Robert Mason, M.D., M.B.A to our SouthEast Eye Specialists clinic locations in Middle Tennessee. Dr. Mason is a fellowship-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist, sub-specializing in vitreoretinal surgery with more than 26 years of ophthalmology experience.
Dr. Mason graduated from medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, NY. He completed his ophthalmology residency and a corneal and external disease fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Mason also completed a vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at South Texas Retina Consultants in Corpus Christi, Texas. He earned his M.B.A. at The University of Florida.
Dr. Mason has participated in numerous vitreoretinal research studies. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of both the American Society of Retina Surgeons and the Vit-Buckle Society. Dr. Mason has also written numerous publications and is very passionate about educating others in his field.
In his spare time, Dr. Mason enjoys traveling with his wife and their three children. He also enjoys playing tennis and trying new cuisines.
